Tuyet Lan is a fully qualified Vietnamese lawyer with 22 years of professional experience. Starting her career as a trainee lawyer at Invest Consult Group, a leading consulting firm in Vietnam for foreign investors investing into Vietnam since the early years of opening up local economy, Lan has gained solid foundation in providing advices and consultation to both foreign-invested and domestic enterprises during this booming era of investment activities.
In 2004, Lan joined the Tax - Market Entry Team in Ho Chi Minh Office of KPMG, one of Big Four auditor, as a Tax Consultant. During this time, she focused on corporate tax, personal income tax, M&A projects, market researches, activities of foreign representative offices and FDI companies. Some of Lan’s clients are Atotech, Andhika Logistic, CapitalLand, Decotex, Savola Ebible Oils, Lotte, etc.
After obtaining her Master degree in International Laws in Korea, Tuyet Lan joined JS - Horizon Law Group, one of the leading law firms in Korea, and returned to establish its branch in Ho Chi Minh City where she specialized in providing legal advices and services to Korean clients investing into the Vietnam market in various industries such as real estate, finance, retail and manufacturing.
From 2008 to 2010, Tuyet Lan has worked as Legal Manager for Allgreen Properties of Singapore, a company under Kouk Group, specializing in residential and commercial real estate projects. Here, she was a key in advising companies of the Group in Vietnam on investment structures, legal and corporate issues, and real estate laws.
For around 11 years from 2010 to 2021, Tuyet Lan has expanded her experience into energy laws as the Head of Legal for Total group, one of top 5 global majors. Here, in addition to corporate laws, she also advised on all issues related to tax, labor, import and export and was mainly in charge of M&A projects of the group in Vietnam market. The acquisition of liquefied petroleum gas segment of Petronas Group (Malaysia) in Vietnam was one of her exemplary project in this period.
Since 2022, Tuyet Lan officially joined TNP Asia Focus as a Partner.
