Tran Thi Quang Hong (PhD Legal researcher, Head of Research Department of Institute of Legal Science, Ministry of Justice)
Special Counsel
Ms. TRAN Thi Quang Hong has been working in legal field for more than 25 years with extensive experiences in both the private and public sectors, in both academia and practice.
She graduated from Hanoi Law University with an honor Bachelor's degree in 1996 and obtained her Master Degree of Laws in 2000. During this time, Ms. Hong worked as a research assistant for the Vice Rector of Hanoi Law University, specializing in projects studying and collecting data involving civil laws, contracts, intellectual property rights, etc.
From 2001 to 2006, Ms. Hong worked as a Legal Specialist in the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, participated in drafting rules and regulations issued by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and contributed legal opinions to various documents related to tourism issued by relevant authorities.
From 2007 to 2011, Ms. Hong acted as an in-house lawyer for VNDirect Securities Company and expanded her career to giving legal advices in financial services, securities trading and also in settlement of disputes and complaints.
After completing her PhD program at Monash University, Australia related to legal aspects of mergers and acquisitions, from 2018 until now, Ms. Hong has worked as the Head of Research Department of the Institute of Legal Sciences under the Ministry of Justice with her focus in organizing researches, evaluations, and legal reviews in the fields of civil, economic, environmental law, and state management of the economy in order to propose policy formulation and improvement; organizing and participating in forums on civil-economic law and state management of the economy; participating in consultancy activities, policy debates; and in legal trainings.
Ms. Hong joined TNP Asia Focus as a Special Consultant.
